The Road to Recovery
HEALING FROM TRAUMA mentally and physically can be a process that requires the services of several specialists and groups positioned in various locations. We want to make these services available to our Warriors in one place, easily accessible, at Camp Anazao.
WE ARE VERY SENSITIZED AND AWARE of the conditions our Eagle Warriors suffer. Managing PTSD or anger, drug or alcohol abuse can often present family and marriage problems leading to depression, homelessness, and at worst suicidal tendencies. Critical Care needs such as food, shelter, counseling and therapy becomes essential to the wellbeing of our Eagle Warriors.
CAMP ANAZAO (New Beginnings)
* ALL of our Eagle Warrior's needs and support will be available "in one location," at Camp Anazao.
* Warriors will receive Critical Care support: Food, shelter, Mental Health Therapy & Outreach services.
* Job Workforce Development: Assessing Transferable Skills, Job search, Placement, and Training.
* Opportunities to attend Workshops and Programs that build capacity in Life and Business skills.
* Access to our Transferable Housing program & Financial Funding Services.
OUR GOALS are to provide our Eagle Warriors with the Critical Care and Mental Health support they need, while preparing them to stabilize and secure jobs, their own homes, or the launch of their own business enterprise. TO OFFER HOPE... providing the services, programs and opportunities to explore, expand and grow. TO BUILD A FUTURE... one that Eagle Warriors can proudly call their own with dignity, pride and empowerment as they overcome the challenges they face.
OUR CABINS will provide the tranquil setting our Eagle Warriors will need to rest and recover. Cabins will be able to shelter up to 8 Warriors each, with beds, lockers and kitchenettes equipped with a microwave/refrigerator and coffee maker.
Eagle Warriors will be able to purchase snack and drink items at the Community Center canteen.
Our Vicksburg Bungalow
OUR JACKSON COMMUNITY CENTER will have a Great Room with fireplace to serve our Eagle Warriors their meals. The Great Room will also have a podium and stage for meetings, workshops, and special events. The left wing will support our Mental Health, Outreach, Job Workforce Development and Program staff. The loft upstairs will provide rooms and space for breakout meetings, group and individual therapy. The right wing will support our Security, Camp Director, Clinic and Canteen. The loft upstairs will provide our Eagle Warriors with a recreational area for camaraderie and relaxation.
