CRITICAL CARE SERVICES
A Global Crisis on
Hunger, Malnutrition & Homelessness

“Nearly 282 million people in 59 countries and territories experienced high levels of acute hunger in 2023.”    2024 UNICEF Global Report on Food Crisis

“Deteriorating human rights for women and girls, economic instability, acute food insecurity and severe climate shocks and natural disasters spell uncertainty for 2024.”     2024 UNHCR Global Focus

“No child or mother should suffer and die from preventable causes. Afghanistan remains one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a baby, a child, or a mother… and access to a hospital or health facility is beyond the reach of most.”     2024 UNICEF Afghanistan Health

“Africa’s environmental challenges create poverty-related issues. Drought, deforestation, and resource scarcity are all contributing factors.  When resources are scarce or mismanaged, it perpetuates extreme poverty and food insecurity.”     2024 Outreach-International

"Your Gift of Life"

Your funding gives immediate relief to families living in fear, conflict, and suffering from abject poverty.  Support is provided for women and children, the homeless, aged and disabled, and those affected by severe storms, disasters, and conflict.  Your Gift of Life carries them as we look for solutions that fight against global hunger and homelessness.  Without our involvement, they are casualties of discernment.

FOOD & FORMULA.  Your funding provides life-saving nourishment that fights against malnutrition. An estimated 2.9-3.2 million children suffer from acute malnutrition in Afghanistan.  An estimated 300,000 children suffer in South Africa.  Your Gift of Life provides food and formula to families having no source of income at all.

$250 will feed a family of 5 for one month.

$400 will feed a family of 8 for one month.

SHELTER, HEAT & WARM CLOTHING.  Winter is coming.  And much can be said about the homeless situation here in the U.S. and globally.  Your funding will include shelter and warmth for the homeless here and abroad.  Their survival depends on your Gift of Life, especially those living in sub-zero temperatures.  Your gift provides the destitute and impoverished with blankets, warm clothing, and wood for heat.  For families living in Africa and Afghanistan:

$1000 will furnish a family with an apartment for one month.

$200 will cover a warm set of clothing and shoes for one person.

        $100 can purchase two blankets.

$50 will heat a home for a month.

MEDICAL NEEDS.  Some of the main problems are that “peripheral health facilities are not well-equipped, or adequately resourced, or properly staffed,” according to Doctors Without Borders ~ Feb 6, 2023.  Women and children suffering from serious conditions or health threats require specialists that most government hospitals do not have, requiring them to look at the private sector.  Medical treatments and surgical costs in the private sector can require deposits of $1000 or higher and payments exceeding $5000 for cancer and heart patients.  Your Gift of Life will allow us to cover some of these costs and to help us save lives.
