President/Founder
Carol Slusher, Administration & Development
Carol comes from a family of veterans and cares about the growing numbers of veterans and allies in need. A former stockbroker with Anderson & Strudwick she specialized in tax shelters and limited partnerships, having an understanding of mergers and acquisitions and the development of REITs. She is looking for properties to syndicate as a managing partner of Allied Capital Assets, to donate to our Transient Housing program for homeless vets. She was also a Marketing Director with Community Benefits Corporation doing private fundraising for civic and charitable organizations; and Admin for R3ADY, a secretariat at the University of Hawaii focused on Disaster Risk Reduction & Resiliency projects. At TFGenesis, Carol oversees the operational, fund development and program development of our organization, in addition to handling the legal responsibilities of the nonprofit.
Robert E. Jordan, Director of Veteran’s Care
Bob completed a distinguished career in the Navy, retiring in October 2019 after serving at the Pentagon in Washington DC. His background in military operations is diverse, serving in analytical assignments and Naval Special Warfare support deployed throughout the Western Pacific, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Arabian Gulf. He supported Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, completing five tours of duty with ground units handling combat operations in Afghanistan. He also supported contingency operations in eastern Africa and worked as a Navy Contractor and Senior Analyst and International Disaster Relief Operations Manager at the Christian Broadcasting Network’s “Operation Blessing.” Bob is also a pastor who has a podcast called “The Veteran’s Outlook” on Spotify, and is an author of several books sold on Amazon. His most recent, “My View of What Other’s Perceive” offers gentle reflections of life. Khalid Ahkbar, Director of Global Initiatives & Disaster Risk Reduction & Resiliency
Khalid has an extensive background in agriculture, community development, emergency livelihood, emergency food security and emergency resilience response projects helping national and international organizations such as the UN, WBK, ADB, UK/DFID & CHA with their funded projects. While they required programming, coordinating, implementing and emergency response procedures; Khalid focused on community development, agriculture extension, disaster management, selection of vulnerable beneficiaries affected by multiple shocks, distribution of wheat and livestock packages to thousands of farmers and headed households and conducting capacity building and public awareness programs. He also provided impact assessment of projects, regularly coordinated with project donors and produced feasibility studies of each project. He will be focused on helping women and children with their food and shelter needs and to minimize the impact of natural disasters affecting those needs. Khalid is currently looking at establishing a livestock co-op and farm project for homeless women and children. More information will be posted on his Disaster Management page.
Lew Slusher, Chief Financial Officer
Lew’s is the owner of Mobile Resources, a financial company handling the payroll, taxes, and accounting of business entities and individuals. His entire background is in credit, finance, and compliance to federal government regulations that audits and governs the banking and credit union industries. He has held positions as President of several credit unions and served as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank auditing records, accounts, and standard banking practices. He also served as a consultant for the Virginia Credit Union League. Lew is a partner of Allied Capital Assets… a Real Estate Investment company that syndicates the acquisitions of commercial and multifamily properties. He is the financial officer of our nonprofit, handling all of the payments, payroll, taxes and audits.

Cosmos Danquah, Operations Manager ~ Critical Care Africa
Cosmos has a diverse background in building and construction with ETT – ADAB Enterprise, domestic and industrial wiring with Laamdy Company Ltd., and installed software for CCTV systems, electrical fencing, alarms, video intercoms and automated gates with Lacustech I.T. Solutions. His focus is addressing the poverty afflicting Africa and helping those facing hunger and shelter needs. Cosmos also has a passion for music. He has written and recorded several singles offering heartfelt insights to the conditions of his country, serving as the Producer for Funky Music Records and mastering beat making, music recording, song mixing, voiceovers, audio separating and audio adverts of music. Cosmos will be handling a farming program in Africa.
